New Balance Performance Park
With an eye on the future, New Balance Performance Park caters to multiple sports and sets the stage for a new generation of athletic excellence at Worcester Academy.
Morse Field
This newly updated multi-purpose turf field is located just a block away from the main campus and was named in honor of former Head of School Dexter P. Morse and his wife, Barbara.
- Hosts football, lacrosse, field hockey, and soccer
- Walking track surrounding the field
Capozzoli Athletic Center (Opening Fall 2025)
An exciting new athletic hub set to significantly enhance our sports programs with cutting-edge facilities that include:

- Team and locker rooms

Daniels Gymnasium
A cornerstone of Worcester Academy's athletic facilities, this versatile and historic facility features amenities to support our athletes' training and performance needs.
- Two basketball courts
- 4-lane swimming pool
- Strengthening and conditioning facility, including a weight room
- Athletic training locker rooms
- Indoor running track
Gaskill Field
Originating back in 1910, Gaskill is located three blocks south of the main campus and includes a baseball diamond named for long-time Director of Athletics and baseball coach Thomas Blackburn. Gaskill is an expansive field offering facilities for diverse athletic events and team sports.

New Balance Fields
A multi-sport venue designed to support high-level training and competitions. Located just 5 miles from our main campus, the complex spans 36 acres and features multi-elevation fields that convert each season.
- Hosts soccer and field hockey in the fall
- Hosts lacrosse, softball, and baseball in the spring
- Hosts cross-country at the 3.1-mile long Harold H. Emmons III ’60 Cross Country Course, renowned for its scenic landscaping and natural stream crossings.
Worcester Ice Center
Our boys and girls hockey teams train and play their home games at the Worcester Ice Center, a state-of-the-art 100,000-square-foot facility located just down the hill from campus.
This facility includes:
- Two full-size ice rinks with mezzanine seating
- Athletic training and conditioning center
- Locker rooms
- Concession stands
Additional Athletic Venues
- Crew Team: Rows on Lake Quinsigamond, storing their shells at the Donahue Rowing Center in Shrewsbury
- Golf Team: Plays at Whitinsville Country Club
- Ski Team: Competes at Wachusett Mountain Ski Area in Princeton
Health & Wellness Services
Sports Medicine Staff
Our Athletic Training Staff is committed to delivering high-level healthcare to all student-athletes, with a focus on the prevention, recognition, treatment, and rehabilitation of sports injuries. Certified by the National Athletic Trainer’s Association and licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Allied Health Professions, our trainers collaborate with school physicians, adjunct physicians, and the Health Office to ensure comprehensive care.
Worcester Academy partners with the Sports Medicine Clinic at the UMass/Memorial Hahnemann Campus, providing a physician at all home football and boys' ice hockey games. Our athletic trainers are also available before and after all practices and home contests, ensuring continuous support for our athletes.
