Our Campus
Capozzoli Athletic Center
Grand Opening: October 17-18, 2025
A new era for athletics, wellness, and community at Worcester Academy.
On October 17, 2025, Worcester Academy will proudly unveil the Capozzoli Athletic Center, a signature addition to our campus and community. Spanning 70,000 square feet across two floors, the facility brings together competition courts, training and fitness space, a swimming pool, and more in one modern complex.
We welcome students, families, alumni, neighbors, and the wider Worcester community to come explore this transformational space — attend the ribbon-cutting, take a tour, attend a game, and celebrate with us.
About the Facility
The Capozzoli Athletic Center is made possible by a $20 million gift from Ron Capozzoli Sr. ’49, whose generosity reflects the Worcester Academy tradition of giving back to future generations.
Managed by StanMar, Inc., the facility is located at New Balance Performance Park on Providence Street, the former site of Saint Vincent Hospital, and marks a bold new chapter for Worcester Academy and the city.
When completed, the Capozzoli Athletic Center will signal our unwavering commitment to providing a uniquely relevant educational experience for every student—one that is rooted in our rich history, informed by our urban campus, and catalyzed through investments in our people and infrastructure.
