Our four residence halls surround the campus quad, putting you right in the center of it all. Dorm rooms generally house two students each, and shared common areas include a TV lounge, kitchen, and laundry facilities.
Sitting adjacent to the Quad is the Head of School’s house, where the door is always open and students can often be found hanging out, decorating holiday cookies and even making s’mores with Mr. Breen and his wife, Dana.
A Feeling Of Family
Students who board are part of a tight-knit community. They foster deep connections that can only be forged through shared experiences. Live-In Dorm Parents and student Proctors serve as constant sounding boards who can offer the resources and guidance you need to navigate practical, academic, and social-emotional stressors.
They also supervise nightly study halls, student events and off-campus excursions, and special Thursday Evenings, where “dorm families” gather for group dinners, game nights, and spirited Dorm Cup Challenge events. Our Dorm Heads plan residential programs, supervise dorm parents and proctors, and run faculty professional development programs that keep our staff at the top of their game.

At Worcester Academy, weekends are vibrant and engaging, offering students a diverse array of activities that foster community and personal growth. The Weekends on the Hilltop program provides a dynamic schedule of events, including off-campus excursions to local attractions, on-campus social gatherings, and opportunities for community service. Students can explore cultural sites, participate in recreational sports, or enjoy movie nights and themed dances. These thoughtfully curated experiences ensure that every weekend at Worcester Academy is both enjoyable and enriching, contributing to a well-rounded student life.
